THE KELLSIAD

The Kellsiad is a sprawling quest which spills out from medieval Ireland into Moorish Spain and the treacherous waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Europe in the year 800 was a battleground of ideologies. Ancient, entrenched paganism was begrudgingly ceding ground to the Christians who, in turn, clashed violently with the Caliphate spreading rapidly from the south. But The Prophecy cared nothing for such petty matters. If its demands were to be fulfilled, the power of the Christian God, the might of Allah, and the shrewd cunning of pagan demons would all be required. Such mundane concerns as good and evil must be set aside when the very fate of the world hangs in the balance. For as our adventurers will learn, power has no valence. All power has purpose. Dark and light do not oppose each other: they each serve to bring the other into sharper focus. Without the darkness, there would be no stars.
